Tiverton Town Football In The Community was set up in October, 2008. The two coaches who founded the scheme were: Ryan German and Chad Gribble. With the first school year coming to an end for the scheme, overall it has been a successful year for everyone involved.

With 8 pupils at 4 different schools recieving the mascot award for a Tiverton Town first team match, over 1000 free tickets for a Tiverton town first team game given away to pupils who are part of the scheme and also with 10 pupils from the school who were successful in getting into a Tiverton Town youth team.

The following extract is from the head teacher at Webbers Primary School,
"Since we have had Tiverton Town FITC come to our school running their after school club, we have not only seen our pupils enjoying them selves at each and every session, but also seen their behaviour improve in and outside of school. We firmly believe this is due to the discipline procedures Ryan and Chad both carry out during their training sessions, ensuring that the kids have fun and socialise/get to know the coaches, but also reminding the pupils you have to get the mixture right and know when to stop and listen. I would recommend this scheme to any school and have no doubts at all that every school would benefit from the scheme, in more then just the football way - as my school has found out". We pride ourself on delivering first class training sessions that not only help develope your pupils social and technical skills but also ensure your pupils enjoy the sessions and look forward to the days when we come to your school. The start of the new school year in September will see 10 schools in partnership with the scheme, with a list of Primary schools who seem to be interested.
